We are not only paying the price for it but our health is paying too. We are opening a country too early with little means to sustain ourselves against this virus. At this point, I work at a casino which should be phase four of opening because it handles a majority of people looking for entertainment. But here we are in phase two. What has happened is that we have a ton of call outs, people are getting sick, and no one is adhering to our protocols for safety. Even wearing a mask can not protect you from people who are not six feet apart and not wearing a mask and drinking from glass cups. There is too much problems with this for casinos. People want out. Yes. But having 100s of people in one space right now is not a good idea. This is why I predict Covid-19 cases rise in Washington State. At this point, we should have a plan to pay people minimum wage at the very least who are set out of work rather than touch unemployment until this blows over. But that could just be me. Anyways, stay safe. Protesters are also risking their health and the health of others but they are doing it for a cause and I think they should be treated with respect. Thank you for this article. <3
