Mike, I went through an earth shattering experience that made me feel the present like I never had before. I saw an ambulance at my childhood friend's house. Rather than get off at my normal bus stop, I forced my school bus driver to stop and let me off. ( I wasn't worried about my mom as I would call her immediately. Or at least that was my explanation. ) I got off the bus to witness my friend's father had passed away. Just like that the catalyst to our world changed. It was like having a super moment where everything felt crisp and you appreciated what you had. You breath and its like the soft taste of peppermint wind escapes your lips. You are so present and yet everything almost feels unreal. This is the closest to truly appreciating the present moment I have. Thank you for writing such a great article. <3
